An aerial barre class is a ballet-inspired workout combined with the precision of Pilates and deep aerial yoga stretches. By targeting the postural and core muscles, the focus is on creating a strong dancer’s body. So, you can count on firm abs, more flexibility and improved posture!

In an aerial barre class, the silk hammocks replace the need for a ballet barre. The subtle movement of the silks force the body to make micro adjustments in order to stay balanced which, as you can imagine, results in a full body work out. Think pliés, arabesques, relevés, squats and plenty of pulses both right-side-up and upside-down!

The silk hammocks also support deep stretches and spinal decompression poses to complement strengthening exercises with flexibility and mobility exercises. Expect a fun class with uplifting music that will make you forget you’re working out. So don’t be surprised if you hear a mix of dance, hip hop, R&B and 80’s tunes. Feel free to bring your tutu!
